First Rides

After three outings, we are pleased with her progress. She handled the canal road with it's hard surface and gravel very well even though barefoot. She seems to love going up a mountain and moving out on the trail. Energetic, but controllable.

What is Zamba?

Zamba (rhymes with "lamb") is a traditional dance of Argentina performed by couples who circle each other waving white handkerchiefs very elegantly. The dance can have either a slow and melancholy rhythm or a lively and quick rhythm.

Zambas are composed about every genre, from those that celebrate people or events of Argentinian history, to those that describe the beauty of a region, or of its women.

Today Zamba is frequently danced in the streets of Argentina and always danced in Argentine folklore parties and festivals and national holidays of Argentina.

I picked"Zamba" for her name because of the "dance" theme. Playing in the pasture, she looks like a dancer with the floating gait and her tail waving up like a flag and her white legs like dancing handkerchiefs.
